Kennett Library Welcomes New Library Director

The Kennett Library Board of Trustees welcomes Megan Walters as their new Library Director.  Megan comes to Kennett from the Denver Public Library system where she managed the Smiley Branch Library. Before her tenure in Denver, Megan was the Interim Director of the Cooper Memorial Library in Opelika, Alabama.

Megan holds a Masters of Library and Information Sciences degree from the University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Auburn University with a Major in Anthropology.  She is a member of the American Library Association as well as the National Public Library Association.  

The Board is excited to welcome Megan to the community and looks forward to the Kennett Library, under her leadership, continuing to provide terrific programs and services for residents of all ages.  Megan joined the library on January 9, 2017 and a series of “Mondays with Megan” will be held throughout February. Please stop by to welcome Megan to the Kennett Library and the Chester County Library System.
